Sunday June 29, 2008

Today's post is not a new picture. I used Roxio Easy Media Creator to put together a slide show of a series of pictures from the Shamu Show of six killer whales jumping around the pool. I spent quite a bit of time syncing the music to the video. When I uploaded it , the timing had changed. Oh, well.

I definitely could not pick just one.

I need practice taking pictures through glass. I know not to stand straight on when using a flash. Any other hints?

An experiment with time lapse photography. Craig and Paul let me take pictures as they played a game of pool.

"Orange Terrace and Silk Oak"

While I was taking these, a couple walked by and asked if I was using photo radar to catch speeders. I said, "Yes" and they kept walking.

"C-17"

C-17 flying over Sarah's house. Many people don't like being in the flight path of March Air Reserve Base. Since my dad is a lifelong aviator, I love it.

"Neon Bass"

I wish I had wiped off the fingerprints.
(Taken Friday around 1 a.m. but I hadn't been to sleep so it counts as Thursday. Again, my blog, my rules.)

"Bernasconi Pass Petroglyph"
A strange little archeological artifact off Ramona Expressway behind Lake Perris.

Here's the story behind the petroglyph:

I found it while looking for a geocache on the way home from San Jacinto. Riversiders, let me know if you even knew about this.

"Ol' Red"

Realized last night I didn't have any pics for the day. This bass was next to my bed. Done and done.

"California Sunset"

The one good thing about smog is what it does for a sunset.

Two pictures today. Something about the picnic table struck me. These were taken at beautiful Carl Thornton Park in Santa Ana, CA.

Monday June 2, 2008

I only took two pictures yesterday. Luckily this was one of them. I am collecting a series of images that I'm going to call, "Why I'm Glad I Don't Play Drums." This is Bob setting up for the Segerstrom High School Spring Choir Concert:
