Sorry I've been slacking on the posts and comments for my fellow bloggers. I just got a Blackberry and most of my computer time has been spent learning, configuring, talking to tech support, etc. I'll get back on the ball.
For today's pic I want to see if anyone can figure out what this is. Comment your ideas. There was no enhancement done post-capture.

maybe a plum, just washed, held under a piece of plastic wrap?
Is it an up close picture of a cutting board with some sort of pattern on it?
