"Best Geocache Camouflage Ever"
For those that don't know, Geocaching is a GPS-based treasure hunt. People hide geocaches and post the coordinates to a website. Other cachers then find these hides and sign the log book inside each cache. Some caches are designed to be easy to find. Some are camouflaged to make it more difficult. Do you see the cache in the top picture? Here it is:

As most of you know, there are several wildfires currently burning in Southern California. The one closest to me is the Yorba Linda or Freeway Complex fire. It is about 20 miles away and downwind. Here are some pictures I took today and tonight.
Let's all take a minute to pay respect to the men and women out there who do their best to protect us from this.

"Purple Flower"
This is the first picture I took with my new 50mm/f1.8 lens I just bought. This is an amazing lens. It is so sharp and being able to open the aperture so wide does wonders for depth of field. The only drawback is it doesn't autofocus on the D-40. I guess I'll need a new body, but for now I like manually focusing.
